Former Professor and Director of the Center for Comprehensive Precision and Integrative Medicine at Aichi Medical University Hospital (also affiliated with the Department of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Medicine at Aichi Medical University Hospital), Graduate School of Medicine, Aichi Medical University (Department of Strategic Preventive and Integrative Medicine & Health Promotion). Currently serving as a Trustee and Professor Emeritus at Aichi Medical University, as well as the President of the Aichi Medical University Alumni Association (Aikitsu-kai). Holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD, PhD) and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
Additionally, he is a Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), and serves as the President of the Clinical Genomic Medicine Society and the President of the Japanese Society of Preventive Clinical Medicine, among other key roles in various academic societies. He is responsible for the overall supervision of health and medical promotion projects across clinical practice, research, and education.
Notably, he has been selected six times as one of The Best Doctors in Japan (Teladoc HEALTH, as of June 2024). Currently, he serves as the Chief Academic Advisor for Clinic 9ru and Prevention Clinic (VIP Health Screening Center).
