An event on regenerative medicine tackled by next-generation researchers: “Gathering for Regenerative Medicine to Connect to the Future”

On November 28, 2024, an event titled “Gathering for the Future of Regenerative Medicine,” centered on the future of medicine and science, was held. This event attracted significant attention as it brought together leading experts and medical professionals in the field of regenerative medicine to share cutting-edge technologies and research results. The event was organized by Well Medical Group Co., Ltd., a company that provides advanced medical services focusing on regenerative medicine. The event was planned as a platform to widely share the company’s philosophy.

Shiho Hashimoto
Born in 1967 in Fukuoka Prefecture. Due to her frail health and lack of aptitude for sports, she began track and field training under the strict guidance of her father from the fourth grade of elementary school. During her student years, she was a member of the track and field club and represented her prefecture and Kyushu at national competitions in relay races during middle school, high school, and university. After graduating from Fukuoka University’s Faculty of Physical Education, she joined FBS Fukuoka Broadcasting, where she worked as a journalist and announcer in the news department. During her four years and one month of employment, she met Takeshi Gundan’s Taka of Gadarukanaru. After only three dates, they got married four months after their first meeting. Currently, she is active in various fields, including television, radio, and magazines, while serving as the editor-in-chief of “Santé,” where she disseminates the latest information on health and beauty.

Opening Address: A Meaningful Step Toward the Future

The event’s host was Shiho Hashimoto, editor-in-chief of the advanced medical web magazine “Santé” and a well-known media personality. Her warm and composed demeanor heightened participants’ expectations. In the opening address, Well Medical Group CEO Tatsuji Yamanouchi spoke about the innovations that regenerative medicine brings to medical settings and its potential to transform patients’ futures, presenting a grand vision to the attendees.

Professor Emeritus Yoshitaka Fukuzawa, Aichi Medical University
Director and Professor Emeritus at Aichi Medical University; Director of the Comprehensive Center for Precision and Integrated Medicine and Gastroenterology. An expert in genome medicine and precision medicine, Dr. Fukuzawa explained how advanced medicine contributes to patient health. Using examples from genomic research in gastroenterology, he described the progress of personalized medicine and outlined challenges and solutions for the future.

Nori Tsukada, Medical Director
